Nice beginning. I love how you blened the two histories of florida together.

Oh wow, thank you so much! :D (There was lots of history about how SC's slaves moved to southern Florida, converted to catholisizm by spain, and were Free, but I didn't want to get into all that seeing as how Hidekaz avoids it too :'D

Yes he does and In a way its good, we want to keep the Aph fandom light hearted but...

Well you will note I am not being that way with Mark. I was consdiering doing the same but found that in reality you could not sperate religion and slavery from him. After a while though I noticed that he became a richer character for it so I guess its okay. I just hope I don't step on any toes. Mark is hard to develope with out getting into moral conudrums. He and Florida share a common reason for joining the union, which is why he veiws Florida as his sister.

Ahh I see[]

I know what you mean. Before Florida became such a tourist trap, (aka a bit "fake" if you will) she and Mark must've been a lot alike. Actually, she must've been pretty much the same as Alabama, which, makes a lot of sense seeing how Alabama was "staying at Mississippi's house" so to speak.

While I don't know much about Mark's past yet, (Haven't gotten around to reading all of yours, sorry ;__; ) had he been my character I probably would've focused more on the different european countries that must have been visiting him at the time. In a way though that'd take away from some of his richness, but I've always been one of those folks who can enjoy keeping things simple XD

Heck, I admire you for not taking that route! To be honest one of the reasons why I decided to avoid most of her Native side is because I was being lazy @__@

Xd Actually mark wasn't really settled by anyone but the french, the spanish took over but then the english did too, so he's not all that special. XD heck the spanish kinda came into him, looked around, then left. In fact most of his land was held by the Choctaw up until America signed treaties with them. It was then that Mississippi was settled and then by mostly White plantation owners, and only near the delta.

No It makes sense, people like to keep Oc's simple, but I like to give mark a human side to make him more likeable as well as show that Mark is tied up with the humans of his state, good or bad.

Its intresting that you speak of florida being "fake". I see Mark as being that way too sometimes. He is known as the "Hospitality state." and takes that seriously. He tries to always smile but his past or issues get in the way sometimes, and the fact that everyone else sees him as "stupid" doesn't help his already low selfesteem.

Yeah, I kinda know what you mean :( Especially about the Fake thing.

I mean I'd hate to use that kind of word towards my own character, and even towards my own home state, but, like, it's really weird...I lived there 'til I was 15 years old, so I knew its good and bad points. Then when we came back to visit after having been gone for a year, it was actually better and more beautiful than I remembered. But that was mostly because of all the tropical plants and fun places that're near the airport in Orlando, as well as all the theme parks and tourist traps. (Plus even a friend of mine who still lives there told me that was the reason) Once we drove all past all that though, it was basically "Wow...I kinda forgot how crummy this state was" (not to mention bad memories flowed back to me the quickest) so whenever we finally got on the plane to head back to IL, I was actually almost glad leave. Mostly 'cause I was able to have some form of closure, plus it was like leaving Florida was also leaving behind some of my other problems.

Then again I guess that's kinda too personal to put something like that into my character's state, but I do think there's some validity to it

I got ornery when one of the people I knew commented on him being stupid I snapped back that mark just had a low Intellegence Quota, which means he learns slow.

Wow that is awesome that you got to do it. I have yet to go back to where I lived in the south. I want to settle my issues there, but I am scared.

Nothing is really to personal. You as the creator pour yourself ino the creations. You shape them. Mark and I are as diffrent as could be yet he has some of my quirks by accident, including his religious angst. As long as you don't slap pepople upside the head with it anything should go.

Ahh, well, I technically didn't really get to settle my problems; (if anything they grew worse XD But I managed to leave things on a happy note at the same time. It's hard to explain) though I do hope that someday you'll be able to visit your hometown and settle things :3

Ahh, and you're so right, about pouring some of ourselves into the character~ I just hope that other Floridians will be able to see some of my logic/reasoning, y'know? Though I'm guessing they'd have to be pretty hold to get it...I mean, pretty much before Florida became such a hot spot for tourism, (don't get me wrong, other states have tourists too, but usually FL is where you go for places like Disney world and stuff) there use to be not much there. Pretty much all flat land and of course that swampish area that is the everglades XD

I live in my home town now but yeah I know what you mean.

Well its your character so wether they understand it or not.

If it helps most of my florida friends think you did wonderfully.

Oh snap for reals? Thanks so much! Tell your Florida friends that I said they rock! :D

Help Please? :'D[]

I feel special for asking; but for some reason, I don't know how to turn Bold words into links; and I don't know how to make "red links" for the states who don't have pages yet :'D Basically I'm having trouble posting links in the Relationships section, and for whenever I mention a state or two in any other section. If someone could do that for me (or tell me how) I'd appreciate it :')

MizuTakishima 04:05, February 6, 2010 (UTC)MizuTakishima

Fixed it! To make bold words (or any words, for that matter) into links, just outline them with two brackets on both sides for internal links. External links are a little different, you have to put one bracket, the link, and then the word you want followed by another bracket. Like this: Florida vs. Florida vs. Florida If you click that button at the top of the edit box that says source, you can see what it looks like. Speria 19:32, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ahh I see! Thank you very much! I still don't really get it, but I'm happy it's fixed now/I'll know how to do it eventually >u<

C-can you draw those three as the rpg characters?[]

becuase if you can I would love you forever

> lol oh gosh XD y'know I've been thinking about it for the longest time, (a little .hack// cosplay perhaps?) and I really want to do it. I'm just bad at group shots in general :'D But Hopefully I can get around to it whenever I'm done with requests and such!

Love on you forever~

Another quick question[]

How do I add something like "Laura is a character in the State-tan Project who represents the state of Florida" at the top of the page, but above the table of contents? like how CA and West Virginia's pages have it 8D If someone could do that/explain it to me that'd be super awesome~ MizuTakishima 11:03, February 18, 2010 (UTC)MizuTakishima

I don't really think it's necessary, as this whole wiki is for STP and the articles themselves say that, but I added it in for you. You just needed to put it at the top before any of the headers. I put it under the template so the template didn't get shoved down. Speria 17:50, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I kinda figured it wasn't necessary, but when I saw it I couldn't help but think how official it made the page look; iffin' that makes any bit of sense XD Still thanks a bunch :'3 MizuTakishima 02:47, February 20, 2010 (UTC)MizuTakishima
